How do I Book?
+Fill in the contact form or better still give me a call on 07726 40 77 55 at any time. I’ll usually check that the date you’re looking for is available first, that saves any disappointment of discussing what you want only to find I’m already booked. We’ll chat about what you’re looking for and how I can best fit in with your plans and ideas and I’ll confirm a price. I can pencil the date in and hold it for two days if you want to think about it, but to be honest most people confirm straight away. I’ll send you a booking confirmation form together with a deposit request. As soon as the deposit is paid your date is confirmed in my diary. I’ll contact you a few days before the event just to confirm the venue or exact timings haven’t changed, then I’ll see you on the day. I’ll collect the balance of the fee on the day.
What do you charge?
+I’m going to be up front with this – I’m not going to be the cheapest magician you could hire. I will however deliver great value for money and get great reactions from your guests or clients, and I guarantee it with a no quibble money back guarantee. If at the end of the performance you’re not delighted with the feedback from your guests then I’ll refund every penny you have paid me. Nobody has ever asked for a refund. To give you an idea of my fee, a typical performance is going to be between £280 and £480. What areas do you perform? How far will you travel?
+I’m based in South Yorkshire but with great motorway and train links I work all over Yorkshire, Lincolnshire and the north Midlands in Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Leicestershire. I can travel to anywhere in the UK though, and do have a valid passport for events further afield.
How many people can you entertain?
+That’s a great question. If I’m performing ‘mix and mingle’ or ‘strolling’ amongst your guests type magic then between 100 and 150 people will see the magic. Obviously for smaller gatherings everyone will see more magic as I’ll spend longer with each group. In a more formal setting then probably around 100 people, or 10 tables of 10 in a typical dinner setting.
How long do you perform for?
+That depends on the event you’re hosting and how best magic would fit in with your other plans. Typically parties and hospitality or weddings will be between one and three hours. Trade shows can be throughout the day and possibly also in the evening at any hospitality you have arranged. The best thing to do is give me a call and we can chat about what your event is and what would fit best. I’d rather have a quick no obligation chat so you’re comfortable and know what to expect from a magician at your event.
Are you Insured?
+Yes I am insured. As a member of Equity I hold Public Liability Insurance for up to £10 Millions pounds. So, if the venue you are booking ask you this question then you can say yes, and I can send the venue a copy of my liability certificate, which you can see here…
Do you do Children’s Parties?
+No, I’m not a children’s entertainer. Whilst I will perform magic which will engage kids of all ages at weddings and parties I don’t have a ‘specialist’ children’s act where I’d entertain a room full of children. Sometimes this is what people are looking for as a birthday party or in a side room at a wedding but that’s not me. Childrens entertainers are a specialist act and I can recommend a couple of very professional people if that is what you are looking for, please just ask.
